Pan Peninsula Lights Up!

December 11, 2008

Both towers of Pan Peninsula finally light up; looks magnificent on the Canary Wharf skyline!

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, religiously watching my window every night and morning. Click the picture for more photos and videos of the fading colour scheme!

This video of the lighting scheme sums it all up:

Cycle around Canary Wharf

August 13, 2008

A grey day turned into marvelous blue skies just as I happened upon “Little Manhattan”. My first real bike ride in London and I am excited! I just hope the weather holds for the next few days.

Here are a few of my favourite pics from the day:

The disappearing view of the O2 Dome

Day by day the view slowly succumbs to the hungry buildings:

Trip to Greenwich Peninsula

July 30, 2008

Today was a lovely day! Basking in sunshine, bought my new iPhone and had a great two mile walk along the Thames Path from the o2 to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.

First I took the Thames Clipper to the QE2 Pier outside the o2 Dome. Here is the video

I came across the strange cross section of an old boat. I must bring a bike along here one day.

Here is a link to all the photos from today.
